Medicare

Why Medicare? Basic Of Medicare

Medicare is run by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) a federal agency which is a branch of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)" Medicare is designed to provide hospital and medical coverage to persons aged 65 and older, persons with disablities for more than 24 months, or persons diagnosed with ALS or End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Did you earn the right to be automatically enroled in Medicare part A and B?

Most Americans become eligible for Medicare benefits when they turn 65 years old. However, people under the age of 65 can receive Medicare benefits in the case of disability, in which a person would need to have received Social Security Disability Insurance checks, SSDI, for more than 24 months. Another way to become eligible for Medicare under the age of 65 is if a person is diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease, ESRD.
